We survived!

We survived Ike...we evacuated to Little Rock, Arkansas! It was a great mini-vacation for me! The rest of my family had some damage..so they did not agree! We got home and started school the next day! We have hit the ground running! Chloe did not adjust well, we woke up our last morning there and she had hives! It was a very horrible experience! We got her all fixed up, and I for one was very anxious! She is much better now and I am seeking alternatives to controlling the allergies.

Chloe Update

Well..its just me and my girl now! Its okay, we are gonna make it! LOL! Who needs stupid boys anyways! Its time for me to get ready for school, but my towels are still in the dryer. So I took some pictures of Chloe Mae this morning and decided to post them! She likes to beg, but she is very quiet and doesn't whine. So instead she just sits up very cute, staring at whatever food I have.

SOOO OVER-due!!!

Hey guys,
Im so overdue for a post! Im at work right now...very productive right? Luckily Im working ICU and getting to follow a nurse around and learn about lots of cool "nurse" duties! Im really excited about being a nurse one day! This just makes it more fun! Currently I am listening to the sounds of ECG (heart rate monitor) machines beeping sounds of high rates, low rates, unstable rhythms. I love it! It gives me a thrill to be here! I know its probably some place I could get burned out on, but why not start with a thrill and end with knowledge and understanding so that at the end of my career I have no regrets and I have some great experiences. (That was a horrible run-on sentence and my high school English teacher would be very upset).

On another note, school is right around the corner and I am not excited about it at all! I have so much to do in the next few weeks, my stomach hurts just thinking about it. Dr. is here...brb

Chloe's Surgery

She wishes she could go outside...just not feeling up to it today!!

My Chloe Mae had her female surgery on Tuesday! She had to stay over night! I missed her very much! It was horrible to see an empty kennel! Now she is back, and she is not quite herself...moving a little slow! But Im so glad she is home! She missed her mom so much! She even cried when she saw me! I also had a microchip put into her! So now if she gets lost she has a microchip and a AKC registration tag that people can call. She also has a name tag with her name and my number! Right now she is laying in front of the big sliding glass window...not sure what she is doing...but she is still cute! We met a guy today in PetsMart that works there that also has a Piebald Dachshund! So she could have a friend one day! It was so funny! She is def my little girl!

Chloe's First

So within the past couple days Chloe and I have experienced a lot of "firsts." This weekend we had our FIRST road trip to Dallas to visit my aunt and do some shopping. She did great, she slept most of the way and played with my aunt's dog Yoshi. SUNDAY, when we got home, we experienced our first encounter with a cat! My grandmother has a stray cat that she feeds. Well Chloe thinks that everything is a playmate opportunity! So she barks at the cat b/c she wants it to play with her! After a few swats from the cat Chloe finally gave up on that dream. LOL.
Last night as a birthday present, my parents kept her so I could go out with my friends and not worry about her crying at home! My dad called today and told me that they "bonded" this morning over some stuffed animals and play! She def loves to play! She did come home with a few extra stuffed animals that she stole from her "Aunt" Taylor! LOL! Taylor said she could keep them since she had already started to chew on them! LOL!

Well today we discovered a love of DITCHES and TURTLES!!! We were going for a POTTY walk when I saw this turtle running...as fast as a turtle can run...in the parking lot! So Chloe and I run over and she starts to freak out.... Barking and crawling under the car where the turtle was now wedged...it was great!

SO then we had to go inside and wait for the turtle to disappear so we could focus on the POTTY part! She still insisted on searching for it...even tho it had left...thats when she must have picked up its scent in the ditch. She got in that ditch (sans water) and ran up and down like a crazy thing!!! I laughed!

We returned outside later in the afternoon...puppies have to go often...like babies....and she saw her first SQUIRREL! I didn't have my camera or I would have captured the moment on camera!
WOW..it was a long day...so now she is pooped!!!

MY Birthday!

So it was my 24th birthday yesterday (June 10th)...I had a great time with my friends! I was told yesterday by someone at the mall that once you turn 25 then you cant go out anymore! Well I guess I got one more year to live it up! LOL! Oh, and how about I think it sucks that they make your license expire on your birthday! WHY not like after or before? You have enough to do on your birthday besides go sit in the DMV to take a picture! LOL! Here are a few pics of my birthday and my baby girl CHLOE!
